When It Rains on Your Wedding Day

And then there was a sound of abundance of rain………….. (Inserts rain sound) on your wedding day.

The first thought that may come to mind when it rains on your wedding day may not be the best. I write this post today to shift your perspective about rain especially when it happens on the most important day of your life. There’s no need to panic or be worried about a thing. Do know that rain is definitely a sign of God’s blessing for your life. God used rain as a blessing after a drought, to flood the world as a fresh cleansing when the world was full of evil, and as a sign of His love to spread across the world.

Joel 2:23

Be glad, people of Zion,
rejoice in the Lord your God,
for he has given you the autumn rains
because he is faithful.
He sends you abundant showers,
both autumn and spring rains, as before.

Remain Positive

This is more than enough good news to rejoice when the rain falls on your day. You have the power to speak over your marriage. Rain is a great sign to speak and believe the positives over your marriage. Always remember that no matter what it looks like you have the authority to believe something greater. Keep your vision clear and positive and rest on pure thoughts as you walk to the altar.

Making Changes

When it rains there will be changes that will be made throughout your day to be sure the wedding is goes smooth. Be open to the adjustments and know that everything will still be beautiful in the end. I love to keep in mind that last minute changes is always God making the final changes to the beautiful portrait He has in mind. He always knows what’s best for our lives we just have to trust the process when changes happen.

Some of these changes may happen with your hair and makeup. If you had a silky straight look it may be best to change into a curly textured look. Our maybe an all down style to a pin up look. The goal is always to accomodate changes to be sure your hair and makeup is lasting throughout your day. My goal is to create quality based upon the circumstances. Sometimes the circumstances changes so we must react accordingly.

Braids for the Bride

The beautiful thing about this bride was that she wore braids on her wedding day. I thought it was so divine because it made it a lot easier for her especially because it rained all day on her wedding day. I cannot begin to explain the beauty behind this pinup that gave her hair so much definition in the stitch of every part of this style. This style was so liberating to create. Have you ever considered wearing braids on your wedding day? Why or why not ? Leave a comment below.
